Rodney Goggins from Wexford won his fourth match in a row today when he beat the world number 2 Judd Trump from England 5 frames to 1 in the World 6 Red Championship in Thailand.
Earlier the Republic Of Ireland number one beat world number 15 Barry Hawkins 5 -3 and leading Amateurs Mohammed Khairy from Egypt 5-1. He also beat ex pro Issara Kachaiwong from Thailand 5 -4 and Rodney will play his final group match later today against Nick Jennings from England.
The Irish number 1 has impressed everyone in Thailand with his superb match play and everyone in Ireland will be cheering Rodney on in the knock out stages which start tomorrow
