Become a RIBSA Coach?

Would you like to be trained and become a qualified RIBSA Coach. RIBSA hold one day Coaching seminars for member who would like to become a RIBSA Intro level Coach and 2 day course for our members to be trained to become a RIBSA Level 1 coach.

If you would like to attend the next seminar you should contact PJ for a coaching application form on pjcoach147@hotmail.com or download the form via the RIBSA web site under Coaching.

The courses will be given by our National Coach PJ Nolan and approved by Sport Ireland Coaching who governs all Coaching in the Republic Of Ireland.

  • Intro Level

The one day Intro Level Course is designed for RIBSA members who want to start coaching in their local clubs. The course covered everything in the approved coaching syllabus featuring Playing Techniques, Role of Coaches, Training Routines plus the Rules of the Game.

  • Level 1

This two day Level 1 Course is held on a Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend designed for RIBSA members who want to improve their coaching skills. The course covered everything in the approved coaching syllabus featuring Techniques, Role and Routines for the advanced players.

  • Safeguarding 1 – Child Welfare Awareness Course

All coaches need to attend a sport partnership 3hr Safeguarding 1 – Child Welfare &  Protection Basic Awareness Course in their own area. All coaches must complete the Garda vetting before being presented with their Intro Level Accreditation RIBSA / Sport Ireland Certificate.

  • Costs

The cost of attending the Intro level seminar is €25.00 (Including soup and sandwich for lunch) the course runs from 10am-1pm and 2pm – 6pm

The cost of attending the Level 1 seminar is €30.00 (Including soup and sandwich for lunch on both days) the course runs from 10am-1pm and 2pm – 6pm
