This week PJ Nolan travelled to Celbridge Snooker in County Kildare who have so many of the top Irish players representing the club.
The club contains Twelve Snooker Tables, Three English 8 Ball Pool Tables, and Two 9 Ball Pool Tables.
Resident Professional Snooker player Fergal O Brien practices daily in the club and weekly practice matches against Ken Doherty, David Morris and David Hogan and many more are very regular.
Joe Delaney, John Sutton, Colm Gilcreest, Martin McCrudden, TJ Dowling, Nigel Power, Phil Arnold and many more including 9 Ball pool Champion Fred Dimsmore train and prepare for their major events in the club.
Club owner Phil Martin is himself an International Billiard player who represents the Republic Of Ireland Association in many major championships including last month’s IBSF World Billiards Championships in Carlow.
The club hold a Thursday Club Competition each week and the event is in its 25th year and has a yearly prize fund of over €7000.00
Drinks hot and cold are available at the counter plus Live poker with Texas Hold’em, On line pokers and fruit machines are in the club..
