Andrew Doherty won the first RIBSA under 16 ranking event in Celbridge Snooker Club today. The two top seeds Ross Doyle and Andrew reached the final but it was Andrew who was too sharp in the final and won the title 3 frames to nil. The highest break prize went to Ross Doyle with a superb 51 break.
Charlie Sweeney from Newbridge CYMS won the first Under 14 ranking event of the season in Celbridge SC on Saturday. In the final Charlie beat Michael Woods from Dublin 2 frames to 1. Congratulations to Celbridge player Phil Arnold who won the Amateur Cup in Killarney today beating Benny O’Brien 3-1 in the final. Phil will now play in the televised stages at the German Masters in Berlin next February as his reward for winning the Amateur Cup. The event was restricted to all Irish and Continental European
