John Connors beat Mickey Duffy 3-1 in the final of the first Northwest Snooker Intermediate and also picked up the high break prize for a superb 102 break.
Similiar to Carlow 17 players entered the event which ran off smoothly and it was Connors who stole the show with wins over Sean McVeigh, Conor Henderson and Phelim McClafferty.
McVeigh despite losing 3-2 in the first round to Connor certainly put up a fight knocking in breaks of 83 and 55 but could not see of the eventual winner Connors.
