PJ Nolan held another successful training day in the Ivy Rooms SC on Saturday the 3rd of September for all players who will represent the Republic Of Ireland in the Home International Series.
TJ Dowling made a record break in the last training routine to snatch victory away from Josh Boileau.
The Home Internationals will be held next week in Pontins North Wales from the 9th – 16th September and will feature Snooker Teams in Senior, Masters, Under 19 and Under 16’s. A billiards event will also take for seniors and Juniors players.
England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland will join the Republic Of Ireland in the quest for the titles.
All the players practiced PJ Nolan’s training routines in the morning and played practice matches against each other in the afternoon session.
Josh Boileau was in fantastic form again today in making breaks of 217, 214, 149, 125 , 91 and he finished it out with 16 long yellows out of 21 shots for a total of 802 points which seemed to be unbeatable.
TJ Dowling making breaks of 133, 76, 72, 68, and 14 long yellows and seemed to be too far back until the former Irish champion made a superb break of 474 in the final routine to break Josh’s score in making an incredible total score of 837.
TJ’s break of 474 is the highest break ever made at a RIBSA team training day.

Mark Tuite finished in third position today with breaks 130, 101, 100, 90, 70 and 14 to score 508.

As National coach I was very happy with the players improvement since the first training day and all players looked more focus and their concentration, cue ball control was much beter today.
On the 14th of August at the first training day the players made 7 century scores but today the players made one 400+ break, two 200+ breaks and eight 100+ breaks.
