Vincent Muldoon from Maynooth SC turned on the style in his second match at the World under 21 snooker championships here in Montreal Canada.
The Irish man made breaks of 101, 80, 71, 71, and 41 in beating Simon Lee from Hong Kong to win his second match in a row to top his group.
Greg Casey from Cork had a superb victory over Chang Ming Tung from Hong Kong who would be known to some juniors in Ireland by the name of Dong Dong. The young cork man had breaks of 74, 58, 48 and 45 in a solid 4-0 victory.
David Cassidy had earlier got his second victory in the event when he beat Cheng Peng from Canada 4 frames to nil.
Jason Devaney who is current Irish champion lost his first match in the event when he lost 3-4 to Khalid Al Kamali from UAE.
Finally David Cassidy lost his second match in this year’s championship when he played last year’s finalist Li Hang from China who was in incredible form with a 4-0 victory hitting breaks of 126, 91, 90 and 56
