The opening ceremony was held tonight in the Sheraton Hotel in Montreal with the IBSF announcing that the groups have been redone due to players not arriving for the event.
David Cassidy is now in Group A
Vincent Muldoon is in Group E
Jason Devaney is in Group D
Greg Casey is in Group F
Five players from each group will now qualify for the Knock out rounds.
Snooker legend Kirk Stevens made a great speech to all the players after watching some players training today and he wishes them all the best of luck in the event which starts tomorrow morning.
First up for the Irish players will be David Cassidy from Cork when he will play Bogdan Cozmacius from Romania at 10am. Jason Devaney will be next in action when he will face Karam Namek from Canada at 1pm.
Vincent Muldoon and Greg Casey will follow at 4pm with Greg facing Varum Madam from India while Vincent will play Kurt Brown from Australia. Finally David Cassidy will play his second match when he will play Mitchell Travis from England.
